ONLY A THEORY…Most Christians would quickly say they are interested in following Christ’s leadership in their lives. And yet many haven’t stopped to consider a very real human interest that eclipses and derails that desire altogether.
“If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” ~Galatians 1:10
Whether we like it or not, each of us will become the servant of the one we are trying to please. I suppose its like the chicken or the egg question, do we start wanting to please the one that we’ve chosen to serve, or do we end up serving the one we most want to please? I am actually not sure which one comes first. But I do know this, we can all talk about being servants of Christ, and then ten seconds later rush off to please someone else without giving it a thought. It’s so easy to drift under the control of other voices than Christ’s. It’s equally easy to end up serving Christ with our intentions while serving someone else with our actual time, talent and money. How this spiritual psychosis develops is a mystery, but it does. Here’s a soul-focusing question, “Who are you wanting to please?” Let me be blunt! If you can look back over your past week and see a significant amount of desire present in you to please someone other than Christ, then your intentions of being His servant might be…ONLY A THEORY! ~verlon

This is a great point..and question...I have yet another question?...If you saw the world in conflict and war with each other over the Chicken or the egg?...One side through their self interest taking the egg and defending it in self justification of their perception and willing to persecute the other even to death. &..The other chicken side doing the same...Worse when special interests within each side feel they are losing ground or have been wrong by the other faction...They modify the truth of their own doctrine to achieve their own goals..further corrupting their own faction to achieve that.. their self perceived end. justifying it's end...Not God's... "the source"????????
ReplyDeleteBoth sides getting further from the truth as time goes on....Yes.. this is a theory...the point isn't even in it in the minds of many men and in that part of the reality is missing IE " The source". Never the right question, never facing the hard truth, and the full reality of truth..Under considered by the men now at each other's throats and yet the battle rages on if only as a mindless mob in the achievement of their own ends...Pleased no...sad yes. ..but a REVOLATION in consequences ..Sometimes the truth hurts..Nothing pleasing in the reality. But I accept that Christ is the bringer of truth..Go. ask the Pharisees. People don't like the truth. When he comes back he is going to be madder than hell itself.... I pray to God that we all are "seeking" the right questions that lead to the Truth.........
Not as i understand AS it IS(LIMITED AT BEST)...But, in the Truth of God THAT AND IS ONLY FOUND IN HIM..I don't believe we could alone touch the answer.. but through Christ.. a bringer of truth. One sent by God May we find the real him now....I pray God is pleased in us as he is with Jesus in truth....A-men and Eh men? I have no solution for the Chicken and the egg.. I know God does.. ask and it shall be given. He will not give us a rock when we are hungry... God is our loving father ..It is time for us to stop being irresponsible children taking him for Granted.
Pleased?..Christ, I'm horrified in the knowing and no agenda other than yours Jesus can fix a broken world...I'm not holding on to one of mine, that's what leads to down fall and in surrender and desperation...Cling to yours it alone our only salvation...
Disclaimer: This is an incomplete work at best....However, I'm willing to turn over a table.. My Mentor did.. I ask: "Is it one of the right ones that leads to truth? or.is this a door that does leads me back agian to nowhere?"
Not a theory, an analogy for any two or more groups talking about the same thing and then fighting over it in differences of prospective. Often not recognizing hence that a chicken is an egg and vice a versa.... also ignoring it's true origin ....
