Not Earthly...

NOT EARTHLY…We all have a great tendency to measure our ability to respond to something based solely on our present assets and strength. After-all, that’s the lesson of lessons we learned early in our adult life. And if we find we are up against something significantly greater than our present strength, we panic. That too is human. But then we are introduced to Christ, and soon we are having to start making room for a different set of rules in the name of ‘faith’. In fact, a different set of assets, sources and strength supplies begin to emerge. Interesting!
“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.” ~II Cor. 10:4
Here Paul demonstrates confidence in one of the great truths of Christianity. There is more power available to us than we can ever imagine. In fact, the kind of strength that faith in Christ gives us isn’t related at all to human strength. It is totally resourced by divine supplies. And it is powerful enough to literally melt down strongholds. ‘Stronghold’ is an interesting word. It means anything that is stronger than human ability. It can be something that is earthly but impossible to reverse. It can even be demonic oppressive in nature. But no matter, even strongholds melt away when this kind of power is used. As amazing as it sounds, this power is available to us, and its NOT EARTHLY! ~verlon

  1. Strongholds: (there are other verses saying we will have these too)....The truth, a pure position of strength, is a stronghold in itself too...This type will hold up to any other stronghold or barrier, and dissolve them....
Galileo had a truth... Fight as they did the early church could not stand up to this attack in its warfare against it...truth. In a stronghold a unsound position is a weakness.
I point out as a pun of sorts... Galileo's observations were not earthly....
I could point out many Prophets' that revealed truths and were scoffed at....But the truth reveals itself... Fight it, throw it in a ditch .... Babylon still falls....
Nail it to a cross it still comes back in an unearthly way. You can't stop truth.
The truth is not something you can hold on to with your hands, except for a short time, earthly in itself.... It assails the mind , is written on the heart, in truth of it, and as a part of life as God gave it to you.
Like a rock, the earth, you hold on it to spending your whole life examining it, and figuring out...Eventually your buried underneath it....God created it and God owns it. You can't escape that truth..
To that which is beyond all understanding and bigger than our understanding.. God holds it all in his hand. It is a stronghold that cannot be breached in the truth of what it is. Assail it with our will... His will always prevails as truth.....God is the impregnable, unconquerable, unassailable, and impenetrable stronghold of truth....."No One Comes to the Father Except through Me" John 14:1-11 "Jesus is the truth"
    Unearthly isn't it?????

  2. “And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. (John 8:32)”

“All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.” Galileo Galilei (Italian natural Philosopher, Astronomer and Mathematician who made fundamental contributions to the development of the scientific method and to the sciences of motion, astronomy and strength of materials. 1564-1642)
"There is no God higher than truth" Mohandas Gandhi
“Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.” Albert Einstein
"The only way to truth is to go through it.".. also " What matters, is what it is true, and not who said it. for the Glory of it is in the truth... The Father of it" NC

  3. Ok I can't resist....
In the Parable of the rock: what were your thoughts???
Science looks at the truth of how it and you came to be.....
    Theologians seek why.....
The questions are both of unearthliness in origin and the questions are synonymous with each other..They talk about the same thing...
Prospectively speaking.. one day you look at the rock...then your under it.....Perception of it can change respective to your point of observation.
What is... never changes... our perspective point of observation does.....
The most profound question is answered of itself in the fact that it is and you are....were still left to the why though...
Earlier this week I pointed out that science on a super computer has figured out that on a particle level, These particles will align over time, and so change all known physical laws of the man's experience and of the universe....Null and Void...
Genesis says in the beginning there was a void.......God created this the physical experience in the void and Man.....
Particles or Angel dust...come or go. It is in the will of that which created it, as it is, and in its truth sufficient to in its why...The rest is for us in faith and the wonder of it all.. Created in God's image... God reached into the void.. Is it really a wonder why we reach back.?..Just maybe were talking of the same thing here and that's why....
PS I know... I won't do this every day....Guess to me this battle of logic and faith needs to stop being at ends with each other...We're talking about the same thing in the same language.. even though someone needs to translate it still to each of the respective perceptions.... We need both schools of thought to realize we're on the same page. If we don't fight about it, just maybe we can get it together. It's his book/life one thing. Jesus is a real thing...So let's get real... That's all I'm trying to say..
